Item of the week

This week we are pleased to feature our vintage window frame mirrors as our "item of the week".

These window frames were all salvaged from renovation projects right here in Old Town, Key West. Each frame is slightly different and authentic. We've had the glass removed and and new mirror glass inserted into the frames to give them a new and re-purposed life.  
This week we are offering 20% off the retail price if you mention that you saw the frames advertised as the item of the week on our blog. You won't find these frames anywhere else in Key West.

The Garden Cottage has been open for three weeks and business is brisk!
Thank you to all of our loyal friends and customers.

We continue to receive new merchandise each week and this past week brought us some spectacular dinnerware designed for outdoor use. We are proud to be the exclusive carrier of gruzinni, an Italian designed brand of dinnerware.

The dishes comes in two shades, tangerine and white (reminiscent of a creamsicle!) and Tuscan lemon yellow and white. We have pitchers, salad bowls, cups, plates, fruit bowls, bread baskets, dessert cups, snack holders and utensils. Each piece is stylishly designed and dishwasher safe.

Item of the week

We are starting something new at the Garden Cottage this season. We will be featuring an "item on the week" which will entitle our blog readers to receive a 20% discount on a particular item by simply mentioning that they read about the item here!

That said, this week's special will be on these fabulous beeswax taper candles that just arrived last week
They come in three sizes (8", 10" and 12") and two colors, (ivory and avocado) and they start in price at $18.00 for a box of two candles.

If you have never burned a beeswax candle, you need to. They burn long, clean, even and best of all, they do not drip. Beeswax candles are lovely and add so much ambiance to a dinner party. They also make a wonderful hostess gift!

Reopening!

The summer flew by and already it's fall. The weather in Key West is fabulous and Fantasy Fest is just around the corner. So much excitement is headed our way on this beautiful little jewel of an island.

The Garden Cottage will be open for business October 21st! That is a Thursday. We have been busy getting the store in shape for the holiday season. We have had some wonderful merchandise arriving all summer long and we can't wait to show it off so mark your calendars and stay tuned for opening week specials.

Our hours of operation will be Monday thru Saturday 10-6pm and Sundays 10-4pm.

Our website is all but complete for online shopping. The web address is www.shop.gardencottagekeywest.com. Our web guru is putting the finishing touches on the technical side and we hope to be open for shopping online by the time the store opens next week.

Summer Season

Okay so I'm a little slow at this Blog thing. My last post was in April, about four months ago.  Summer has arrived in Key West with a vengeance, bringing steamy temps. and summer doldrums. We decided to close the store during the months of August and September so that we could all enjoy a little time off from the all consuming world of retail. The Garden Cottage will re-open in October and believe me, the little shop will be packed to the gills with fabulous merchandise selected from across the country and around the world! Stay tuned!
